A leading Turkish jewelry firm, Atasay, traveled to every far corner in Turkey, searching for the craftsman who could present Anatolian heritage to the world.
12 master craftsmen told representatives of Atasay how they crafted traditional jewelry. By rekindling old methods, Atasay hopes to distribute a new collection intended for a modern woman’s taste.
Atasay assembled the information he collected into a book called "Living Anatolian Jewelry". It chronicles the evolution of technique with a nice catalogue of traditional motifs. The book is in both Turkish and English.
Atasay recently opened a new jewelry store in the International Terminal at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The store is intended to capture the interest of French, Japanese, Russian, and Israeli tourists.
